Below you will find a list of sites where you will find performance tasks, units of study and supports for CCLSM. You will find value in a few or most of these resources to support your continued planning and teaching using math tasks and performance assessments. (Curated by Sharon Mahabir, CFN 211)
This site contains complete grade 6-8 math tasks with identified content and skills, rubrics, and student work. All tasks are downloadable in PDF format. The tasks are not yet aligned to CCLSM, only NCTM standards. Exemplars should be coming out with an alignment to CCLSM soon.
NC is ahead of the game! Here via the links you will find detailed explanations for all of the CCLS (ELA and Math) and examples for each. A great tool to use when deciding if a problem or activity meets a standard.
At the bottom of this page you will find the NYS sample Common Core questions for 2012-13 (ELA and Math).
Remember that they were developed primarily for the purposes of communications and training. They are not test samplers, and are not meant to mirror full-length assessments.
This sites also has a variety of middle school math tasks at the ‘expert’, ‘apprentice’, and ‘novice’ levels. All of the tasks are aligned to CCLSM.

BYU's site for grade 6-12 that discusses how math is used in a variety of professions and even included salary information. Great for the motivated and unmotivated math student.
The Eyeballing Game
http://woodgears.ca/eyeball/ This interactive was intended for woodworkers but works very well in Geometry class. The activity works by showing you a series of geometric figures that need to be adjusted a bit to make them correct. A square highlights the point that needs to be moved or adjusted. Use the mouse to drag the blue square or arrowhead where you feel it is 'right.' Once you let go of the mouse, the computer evaluates your move, so don't let up on the mouse button until you are sure. The 'correct' geometry is also shown in green, so you can see where you went wrong. You will be see each challenge three times. The table to the right shows your score ach time. You can compare your score to the last 500 players or to your last best score.

Organized by strand and grade level, this site offers a great deal of games and activities for students to practice skills. It's also a great way to introduce concepts like prime factorization or balancing equations.
Shodor Interactivate http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/
Similar to NLVM, Shodor offers online manipulatives and games. It does, however, also offer lesson plans and worksheets that accompany some of the activities.
Illuminations (NCTM) http://illuminations.nctm.org/
Created by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Illuminations offers creative lessons and activities to teach math concepts. All of the activities include a lesson plan, standards links and assessments. These are great for portfolio projects, bulletin board projects, or interdisciplinary links.
Worksheet Works http://www.worksheetworks.com/
Allows for the creation of free worksheets (with answer keys), as well as graphic organizers that you can type into, including triple-Venn diagrams, which are difficult to find in pdf form.

Find worksheets on a variety of math skills here. Great for HW assignments, or small group skills interventions on specific areas of instruction.
